Riley
We adopted Riley, an American Bulldog mix, at the PetSmart in Buckhead on November 8th and she has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives every day since! She is the kind-hearted, playful, smart and just full of surprises. Here is a picture of her with one of her favorite Kong bones that we took today and another one that we took right after we adopted her. She is a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you for all the great work you did with Riley and that you continue to do with all of the other loving dogs looking for new homes. Sincerely, Kristin & Hank Deveikis
Klaus
Hi Shari,
We got Mila Belle (formerly Klaus) from Dog Pack Rescue last October. I wanted to write and let you know how she is doing. She adjusted to her new home quickly and really loves it here! She gets along well with our cat, Kramer....they are the best of friends. They love to play together and chase each other around the house. She's a little hyper some times and she loves to chew....but, she is the sweetest dog ever!!! Just before we got her, our 15 year old dog, Charlie Brown, had died of cancer, so Mila added some much needed happiness to our lives! Thank you for all of the wonderful work you do with animals....and for bringing Mila into our lives!
Kristin
Here are some pictures. Kramer and Mila love looking out the window...we sometimes have turkeys in our backyard and they are fascinated by them!
We recently got our back yard fenced in, so they don't get to see the turkeys anymore, but she now has a safe place to play and chase butterflies!
Sunshine 8
Shari,
It’s been a little more than 2 months since I had adopted Sunshine 8 who we now call Brie. It’s been an adjustment for all but we are very happy with our adoption. Our 5 year old lab loves to play with her and they are entertaining to watch. Our cat on the other hand wants to play but Brie gets a little rough and the cat ends up retreating to a safe spot.
I try to take Brie on 2.5 mile walk when possible to get rid of some of her energy and it does help. She is wonderful on the leash. Plus we all give her some one on one playtime.
In the beginning Brie wasn’t doing too good with potty training but the potty training has come a long way. We crate her when we leave the house. The upstairs is blocked by a baby gate & it cuts back on the accidents. She might have an accident every now and then but that is because someone didn’t pick up on her signs or didn’t take her out on her scheduled times.
All I can say is we love her and she has found a permanent place in our home and in our hearts.
Thank you and your staff for the wonderful job you are doing in placing dogs that need a home.

Ringo 8
Dear Sharie,
Ringo is doing GREAT! He seems to have gotten himself familiar with everything with no problems. We had a couple of poopie accidents in "daddy's" office (of all places) but we got it all cleaned up and now we are on a REGULAR schedule... we walk 30 min. in the morning and 30 min. at nite. We have our first Dr. appt. Monday at North Cobb Vet Clinic with Dr. Frank Boone. He is an amazing little man, he is so loveable and LAZY. I will keep you posted on us and thank you so much for all your hard work and your love for animals.
Happy and Thankful,
Gregg,Natalie & Ringo Morris
Cube
Hi Shari -
Mommy is helping me write a quick note to you to let you know how I'm doing after my 1st week in my forever home. I really didn't want to leave when they came to get me on 3/26, but Mommy let me ride all the way home in her lap, and carried me everywhere she went. When she let me sleep wrapped around her head that first night, I figured she might be ok. Mommy says I'm her new princess so she helped me choose a new princess name - Callie. She even took me to get a pink collar and princess tag with my new name on it!
I just LOVE my new home - there's so much to do here! I have lots of brothers to play with and we have toys everywhere! My best buddy is my brother Brody who is in the photo Mommy is sending. We play together constantly. He even helps me chase the cats...at least until Mommy makes us stop! She says she still has to work on my attitude about the cats because I chased them up onto the table a couple times. Mommy made me stop even though she laughed about it. She said she's still working on training me - that's what she thinks! Hee hee! Believe it or not, I even like to go outside and play now, as long as Brody is with me - Mommy says he's really helping my true personality come out.
Mommy says it seems like I've been part of the family all along and I was just what she needed to help her stop crying over losing her baby Mocha in January. She also said that adding me to the family is helping Bucky learn how to be the leader of the pack. I think Mommy and I are good for each other because we both needed each other. Thank you for taking care of me until my Mommy found me.
I gotta go because Brody just ran by with a toy - I know he's taunting me so I gotta go take it from him to show him the princess is the boss!
